Veranda Ice Skating Rink Now Open in Concord

The ice skating rink at the Veranda shopping center in Concord, California is now officially open for the season. Visitors can rent skates and skate around in the shade of a giant Christmas tree beside the rink.

The Veranda ice skating rink isn’t huge, but it’s hugely popular. When the Bay Area Telegraph visited on a weekday afternoon, there were a large number of skaters gliding around the rink, and many people sitting and watching the festivities.

How to Buy Tickets for Skating

You can buy tickets online or at the rink. Your reservation is only good for the time and date you bought it for. Tickets are for 75 minutes of skating time, which starts when you check in.

You’ll want to buy tickets in advance and get a reservation if you’re going on a busy day. Again, the rink isn’t huge, and you’ll want to make sure you have a reserved time.

The person who buys the ticket will get two emails: one that says the purchase went through, and one with a link to the reservation management page. On that page, the buyer has to assign the names of the people who will be skating and fill out electronic waivers. Each skater has to sign their own waiver. A legal guardian has to sign a waiver for anyone under 18.

Cost of Veranda Ice Rink Tickets

The price of admission to the ice skating rink is $17.00 per person.

This price includes tax, skate rental, and 75 minutes of skate time. Season passes are also available for purchase at a price of $129.00 per person.

A season pass includes unlimited ice skating during operating hours and the use of rental ice skates. Season passes cannot be transferred from one person to another.

Can Kids Skate at the Veranda?

Yes, kids can skate at the Veranda ice skating rink. There is no specific age limit for the rink. That said, you cannot carry your small kids when skating.

I wouldn’t bring a kid there unless they’re big enough to skate on their own.
