The Last Call: Lafayette’s Boneheads BBQ Signs Off After 18 Years of Delicious BBQ Memories

We have some bittersweet news to share with you all today. After 18 incredible years of serving BBQ delicacies and bringing families together through their tasty BBQ and catering services, Boneheads Texas BBQ in downtown Lafayette, California was sold and stopped operations on March 19.

In a post to the social network Nextdoor, Boneheads wrote:

The support from this community has been tremendous and I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for me and my family over the last 18 years of operating as a catering company and restaurant.

The restaurant has been purchased by two great guys and will remain a BBQ restaurant. The menu will have a number of changes and the recipes will change. I believe James and Jimmy will provide a great product and service to the community and I encourage everyone to visit them beginning Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

So there you have it. Although Lafayette is losing a cherished community restaurant, the former Boneheads Texas BBQ has already been reborn as a new restaurant catering to BBQ lovers in Lamorinda.

Here at the Bay Area Telegraph, we look forward to checking the new restaurant out.
