People think cooking salmon on a gas grill is hard, but it's actually really simple

Start by lighting your grill and setting all the burners to a medium setting

Close the lid and let it preheat to around 400 degrees

Season your skin-on filets. I use dill, oregano, basil, salt and pepper

Sear your filets skin side down for 3-5 minutes. The high heat adds lots of flavor!

Spray the tops with cooking spray, flip them over, and sear 2-3 minutes to get grill marks

Now, turn off one of your burners to create a "cool zone." You're making your grill like an oven.

Flip the filets and move them carefully to the cool zone.

Close the lid and adjust the lit burners to maintain about 400 degrees.

Check your filets frequently. They're done when they're light pink all the way through.

Enjoy perfect grilled salmon filets! I serve mine with a yogurt sauce.
