I stayed in a Sonoma County tiny house with my wife and 3 young kids. It was not what I expected.

I was expecting a cramped, trailer-like space, but our tiny house was bright and airy.

Despite its 400sqft size, it had a little kitchen with full-sized appliances

A staircase led to a loft with only a 4 foot tall ceiling!

But the loft added extra space for two full-sized beds

Our tiny house had a powder-room sized bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink

The back room had a queen sized bed, albeit with only about 1 foot of clearance on each side

Staying in the tiny house was much easier than a hotel, and sleeping 5 people was no problem

Overall, it turned out to be a great experience, and the kids loved it
