Every Concierge at this San Francisco Hotel is a Member of An Elite Organization

The St. Regis San Francisco just hit a rare hospitality milestone: every single concierge at the Forbes Five-Star property now wears the crossed gold keys of Les Clefs d’Or, the profession’s highest honor. With the recent induction of concierge Selina Galarza into Les Clefs d’Or USA, St. Regis becomes the city’s only Forbes Five-Star hotel with a concierge desk staffed exclusively by Clefs d’Or members.

“At a time when advanced technology and artificial intelligence increasingly shape hospitality interactions, our concierge team embodies the enduring value of personal expertise and human connection,” said Roger Huldi, general manager of The St. Regis San Francisco.

What the golden keys actually mean

Les Clefs d’Or USA is the only national association of professional hotel concierges. Members are known for delivering nonpareil, white-glove service and can be spotted by the small, crossed gold keys on their lapels. Earning those keys is no small feat.

Candidates must serve as full-time, lobby-level concierges for a minimum of five years and pass a rigorous review by the association’s membership committee. The network is global, with standards that emphasize discretion, deep local knowledge, and a just-make-it-happen ethos.
