7 Last-Minute Holiday Events in the 925 To Check Out

Still need fun ideas for things to do this holiday season? You’re not too late!

There are plenty of options for fun events around the 925 this holiday season. Here are 6 to check out, happening December 23 or later.

Because things book up fast last minute, make sure to confirm availability before you go.

1) “Visit to the North Pole” at Lesher Center (Walnut Creek)

This is an immersive, family-friendly theater experience — and Dec. 23 is the final day

2) Kristi Yamaguchi Holiday Ice Rink at City Center Bishop Ranch (San Ramon)

I skated there earlier this season and it’s super fun! For an upscale experience, book a firepit and bring smores.

3) Garden of D’Lights at Ruth Bancroft Garden (Walnut Creek)

This one is a standout: a holiday light experience in a cactus-and-succulent garden with loads of native plants, right by Heather Farm. Notably, it resumes Dec. 26-28 (and continues on select January nights).

4) “Sounds of the Street” weekend entertainment at Broadway Plaza (Walnut Creek)

If you want something simple (and very “walk around with a coffee” friendly), Broadway Plaza is doing live music on Dec. 27-28. There’s really good Italian sodas at the cafe by Nordstrom, BTW.

5) Winter Glow Experience at the Alameda County Fairgrounds (Pleasanton)

A big, drive-through style holiday lights option that runs late into the season — great if you’re trying to keep things easy with kids in the car.

6) New Year’s Eve at Crush’d (Danville)

This is about as close as you’ll get to going out to “the club” on New Year’s eve here in the sleepy 925!
