You might need to wait for a spot, since the lot is small. But it’s worth the wait, trust me!

I’m Thomas Smith looking at one of the most beautiful places along Lake Tahoe: Inspiration Point. It’s actually located in South Lake Tahoe and you can access it by a beautiful drive that goes along the western shore of the lake.

This is an incredible vista point where you can see Emerald Bay, one of the small inlets at the bottom of the lake. You can also see some of the islands and the scenery around you.

It’s a very popular tourist spot and a great place for people to stop as they drive around the lake or as they head down to South Lake Tahoe.

Accessing these incredible vistas is easy – there’s a parking lot and an overlook at the scene. There are also several historical markers and plaques that describe the history of the area as well as its natural beauty.

So, check out Emerald Bay and Inspiration Point the next time you’re in Lake Tahoe. It’s a beautiful stopping point as you’re completing that drive down the western side of the lake.
