Cupcakin Bakery in Berkeley Sells Tiny Cupcake Nuggets of Awesome

If you haven’t heard of Cupcakin Bakery in Berkeley, California, then you’re in for a sweet treat – both literally and figuratively! This bakery specializes in creating scrumptious mini cupcakes that are not only absolutely delightful but also packed with flavor.

I’m Thomas Smith, a Bay Area professional food and travel photographer, and I recently had the pleasure of discovering this gem, and boy, am I glad I did! Here’s why Cupcakin Bakery should be your new favorite spot for ordering mini cupcakes.

Innovations in Cupcake Flavors and Sizes

At first glance, the cupcakes from Cupcakin Bakery may not seem all that different from other bakeries, but one closer look and you’ll notice that these are, in fact, mini cupcakes. These little bites of joy come in various flavors to suit every taste, allowing you to indulge in multiple cupcakes in one sitting without feeling too guilty.

One of my personal favorites is the Key Lime Pie Cupcake – a concoction of a luscious cream cheese frosting, graham cracker crumbs, lime zest, and a cakey cupcake base filled with key lime cream.

Add to that a delectable graham cracker crust at the bottom, and you have a mini key lime pie in cupcake form. Trust me when I say the effort that goes into making these cupcakes is definitely worth it!

I still love Sprinkles for full-size cupcakes and Smallcakes is awesome too. But if mini is what you’re seeking, Cupcakin is the best.

I’m Thomas Smith and today I’m looking at Cupcake Bakery. This is a bakery in Berkeley, California, and they make what you can see here behind me – really incredible cupcakes. And it’s hard to tell from the scale of this picture, but these are actually mini cupcakes.

So you can get a set of these. I like to order them on DoorDash; you can get these delivered right to your house and you get like a tray with a dozen of these tiny cupcakes in all different flavors.

This is their red velvet cupcake behind me and they have a lot of different options. This is my favorite – a key lime pie cupcake. You can see it’s got kind of a delicious almost like a cream cheese type of frosting on top, some little bits of a graham cracker crumb on there, we got a little bit of lime zest and then a really delicious kind of cakey cupcake there. Inside of that you’ve got a key lime cream and then on the bottom of the whole thing you’ve got more of that graham cracker crust. So it’s basically like a key lime pie in this tiny cupcake format.

So that’s a lot of work, a lot of effort put into making this one cupcake. Cupcake Bakery started out of the owner’s home in 2007 as a home-based catering business. They launched in Berkeley in 2014 and they’ve really been making these incredible cupcakes ever since.

You can check them out. They rotate their different flavors and, again, you can order them online. I’m in Lafayette and I know I can have them delivered all the way here through the tunnel via DoorDash or you can drop into their bakery in Berkeley.

And, again, these are just really incredible cupcakes. I don’t really like huge cupcakes as much because I find them too much to eat. With these you can try three or four different flavors in one sitting because they are these tiny little cupcakes and they are super delicious.

So check out Cupcake Bakery in Berkeley, California.
