Thanks to modern innovation, the days of struggling with traditional spreadable jam are officially over. That’s according to a real California dad, who tried Smucker’s Squeezable Jelly and filmed his reaction.
“Conservatively, this is probably among the greatest inventions of modern times” the dad says as he squeezes thin lines of Strawberry jelly onto a slice of white bread while making a PB&J.
Obviously, that reaction is a bit of a hyperbole! Still, though, we agree with the general sentiment.
Squeezable versions of classic products are great because they make it way easier to apply goopy, sticky things like jelly or sour cream (another new squeezable innovation) in precise amounts.
Squeezable jelly, as the dad implies, is also a great way to get kids involved in making their own sandwiches. Squeezing on their own jelly is super easy, even for little ones without the fine motor skills to spread jelly consistently.
You can also make a sandwich without worrying about your kids using a knife, which is an added safety bonus.
Smuckers Squeezable jelly is generally sold in the same aisle as other jellys. Try it out the next time you need to make a kids’ lunch in a hurry–or if you want to outsource the lunch packing process to your six year old!
