Boichik’s New Cream Cheese is Definitely Not Something You’d Find in New York

Boichik Bagels in Berkeley, California, has a new cream cheese coming out for the spring season, and it looks amazing.

Boichik rolls out specialized cream cheeses to celebrate each changing season. Of course, they always have their classics, like their plain cream cheese, and also my favorite, their chive cream cheese.

The seasonal cream cheeses are cool. It adds some variety to your bagels, though.

For spring 2024, Boichik is introducing a green garlic and herb spread. The ingredient list is fascinating.

The new cream cheese will have garlic, dill, fennel pollen, black pepper, and lemon zest. That is quite a combination of flavors!

Normally, Boichik focuses on the classic flavors of New York bagel places. But here, they’re clearly adding a bit of Bay Area flare.

You’re definitely not going to get fennel pollen in your cream cheese in New York! Those kinds of ingredients are a very California twist.

We look forward to trying the new cream cheese, which is priced at eight dollars for an 8-ounce container, or $2.50 as an addition to a sandwich or bagel.

We love that Boichik keeps innovating in addition to supplying us with the basics: fantastic bagels!
