Berkeley’s 4th Annual Bizerkeley Food Festival: A Celebration of Vegan Cuisine and Community
Berkeley, CA – The fourth annual Bizerkeley Food Festival, northern California’s largest vegan food event, is set to take place on Sunday, September 1, from noon to 6 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park.
Organized by Erika Hazel, known as “The Bizerkeley Vegan,” this festival brings together over 100 vendors, live entertainment, and activities in a vibrant celebration of vegan culture and community.
Festival Highlights:
- 100 Vendors: The event will showcase a diverse range of vendors, including over 40 food and beverage stands from across the country. Attendees can sample vegan dishes, drinks, and browse lifestyle, wellness, and nonprofit booths. Vendors include local favorites like All Pau Berkeley and The Vegan Hood Chefs, alongside new participants such as Chef J Redd and Cocobreeze.
- Live Entertainment: The festival will feature performances by headliner StunnaMan02, as well as Audiopharmacy and PWT Dance Academy.
- Family-Friendly Activities: The Game Zone offers fun for all ages with activities like a bounce house, corn hole, and giant Jenga.
- Silent Auction: A silent auction will raise funds for Herd and Flock Animal Sanctuary, a local organization dedicated to animal welfare.

- Tomorrow World: Showcasing innovators in the vegan industry.
- Creature Country: An interactive space featuring adoptable animals.
- Beer Territory: A designated area for guests 21 and over to enjoy alcoholic beverages.
- University Ave USA: Highlighting Berkeley-based businesses.
Ticket Information: Tickets can be purchased online via Eventbrite or at the door. General admission is $10 in advance or $14 at the door. Berkeley residents and EBT cardholders can attend for free. VIP passes, offering early entry and exclusive perks, are available for $65 in advance or $75 at the door.
About the Organizer: Erika Hazel, a prominent vegan entrepreneur, founded the Bizerkeley Food Festival in 2021 to promote veganism and support local causes. Her goal is to showcase the rich diversity of vegan cuisine and to make it accessible to everyone.
