Martinez, CA – A Vallejo man has been charged with multiple counts of second-degree commercial burglary and grand theft after allegedly stealing nearly $25,000 worth of LEGO bricks and other merchandise from Target stores in Contra Costa County.
Michael Ivory Fletcher, 32, is accused of committing thefts at Target locations in Walnut Creek and San Ramon between August 15, 2024, and February 15, 2025.
Authorities say he repeatedly entered stores alone, filled shopping carts with LEGO products, and quickly exited without paying. Fletcher allegedly used a vehicle parked in a disabled parking space to load and transport the stolen merchandise.
As any parent knows, LEGO bricks are expensive! It’s not hard to walk off with thousands of dollars worth of them–or in this case, tens of thousands worth.
The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office filed a 12-count felony complaint against Fletcher on February 20. He remains in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility with bail set at $467,500.
Fletcher is also suspected of similar thefts in Solano, Alameda, San Joaquin, Sonoma, and Santa Clara counties.

We are committed to holding this individual accountable. Moreover, these brazen retail thefts demonstrate the necessity of reporting these crimes to law enforcement. Fletcher awaits a preliminary hearing.
