City Center Bishop Ranch in San Ramon, California, is holding a Holi celebration on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM.
During the celebration, Bishop Drive in San Ramon will transform into a vibrant celebration of color and community.
Recognized as an ancient Hindu celebration, Holi is a festival that marks the arrival of spring. It also celebrates the triumph of light over darkness. This is something we can all get behind as we move out of the cloudy and chilly wintertime here in the Bay Area into spring.
During the Holi celebration, Bishop Ranch will bring musical performances from DJ Love, as well as dance performances from a traditional dance troupe. In previous years, festival-goers gathered to watch dancers celebrate in traditional clothing on the streets of San Ramon and on a stage set up at City Center.
In addition to dance performances, the festival also brings traditional arts like henna and rangoli.
Guests will experience the throwing of colors. In a photograph we reviewed from previous years, the crowd is entirely engulfed in a colorful display.
The colors this year will be available for purchase during the event.
The Holi celebration at City Center began as a modest event in a parking lot, but it turned into a large yearly celebration that brings together the San Ramon community.
Make sure to stop by City Center on March 23 from 2 to 4 PM for the celebration. You can learn more about this story and the celebration on the City Center website.
