Lamorinda’s Most Talented Young Singers to “Rock the Plaza” This Friday, and it’s Free
LAFAYETTE, CALIFORNIA – Downtown Lafayette will fill with music this Friday evening, June 27, when the 2025 Lamorinda Idol finalists take over the Lafayette Plaza stage from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. as part of the free “Rock the Plaza” summer concert series.
Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic to the plaza at 3530 Plaza Way for a night celebrating some of the East Bay’s most promising young voices.
A beloved local tradition
Launched in 2006 by the nonprofit Lamorinda Arts Council, Lamorinda Idol invites students who live or attend school in Lafayette, Moraga or Orinda to compete either as soloists or in small vocal groups.
What began as a single summer talent show has grown into a months-long program featuring auditions, professional workshops, community concerts and a finals night that routinely packs the Orinda Theatre.
