The Opening of Original Joes in Walnut Creek Feels Tantalizingly Close

Walnut Creek, California – After years of waiting and several proposed opening dates, the long-awaited opening of Original Joe’s in Walnut Creek, California feels tantalizingly close.

Readers have written to the Bay Area Telegraph to say that they’ve seen signage for the restaurant go up and then come back down again—perhaps a test of the new signage, or some part of the permitting process.

Simultaneously, Original Joe’s has been sharing previews of the new restaurant on its social media. One local noted a rack of chef’s coats being wheeled into the upcoming Walnut Creek restaurant, and a social post from Original Joe’s shows a line of chefs putting those uniforms to good work!

The post also gives a sneak peek inside the restaurant, showing the new culinary team preparing a long line of plates with Original Joe’s signature items.

So, when will this extremely exciting new restaurant finally open?

We posed that question directly to Original Joe’s itself.

A spokesperson wrote back to say, “We don’t have a set opening date yet for Walnut Creek.” We were hoping for a bit more specificity than that, but like everyone else in the Walnut Creek community, it sounds like we’ll just have to wait.

No one seems to be waiting patiently, though. When Original Joe’s posted the photo of its chefs at the Walnut Creek location, almost 1,000 people liked the photo. There’s clearly a lot of people eagerly anticipating the opening!

Many of them also demanded to know when the restaurant would actually open.

The good news? An Original Joe’s spokesperson did promise us, “We’ll definitely let you know as soon as we [have a set opening date].”

So when there is a confirmed opening date scheduled for Original Joe’s Walnut Creek, the Bay Area Telegraph will be among the first to know!
