Union City Woman Arrested On $1 Million Warrant
During their investigation, patrol officers and detectives identified the suspect as Xiaojie Zhang, a 40-year-old woman who lives in Union City, police said.
San Ramon officers arrested Zhang at her home on a $1 million Ramey warrant for attempted homicide. She was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
Investigators are not releasing details about the relationship between Zhang and the victim, but said the two were known to one another.
Search Warrant Turns Up Firearms
After Zhang was taken into custody, detectives served a search warrant at her Union City residence. During that search, officers say they located two firearms.
Police emphasized that the case remains an active and ongoing investigation. However, based on what they know now, officers say there is no continued threat to the broader San Ramon community.
“Our heartfelt thoughts are with the victim and his family,” the department said in its release.
