Pleasant Hill Officially Has a New Mayor, as Election Proves Unanimous

PLEASANT HILL, CALIFORNIA – The town of Pleasant Hill officially has a new mayor! There’s a new vice mayor on board, too.

According to a press release we received here at Bay Area Telegraph, the City Council unanimously elected Zac Shess as mayor, and Andrei Obolenskiy as Vice Mayor.

“I’m delighted that my colleagues have elected me to this position, and I’m excited to support the mayor and his agenda in the year ahead,” Obolenskiy said. “As we enter budgeting season, I also look forward to working with our colleagues in Concord on the Monument corridor bike and pedestrian improvement plan.”

“I believe that the best government is a collaborative government that listens, respects and acts in the best interest of the city,” Shess said. “Community is the heart of who we are, and I’m happy to represent that.”

“We have some exciting things coming,” Shess said, noting his upcoming State of the City address early next year. “We’re going to have the Osaka Marketplace later this year and continue making sure we have a great city.”

What’s Osaka Marketplace, you ask? We have a whole story!
