Large Group of Students Protest at Acalanes High School

LAFYAETTE, CALIFORNIA – Amid campus walk-offs and other student protests around the Bay Area, a large number of Acalanes students gathered after school in a street-side protest.

Students marched and held signs criticizing ICE and immigration policies.

Signs had messages reading “Keep Families Together” and “No ICE”. Other signs appeared to reference indigenous groups, with messages including “No One Is Illegal On Stolen Land.”

At least 100 students appeared to be participating.

Drivers passing by appeared to be enthusiastic about the protest. Many honked their horns as students waved their signs.
