“Free Iran” Protest Seen on the Highway 24 Overpass
LAFAYETTE, CALIFORNIA – A small “Free Iran” protest was spotted Sunday on the El Curtola Boulevard pedestrian overpass above Highway 24 in Lafayette, with demonstrators holding signs aimed at drivers passing underneath.
The short rally adds to a burst of Bay Area demonstrations and diaspora gatherings tied to the rapidly evolving conflict.

The overpass sits above a heavily traveled stretch of State Route 24 and has become a familiar “visibility” spot for public demonstrations in recent years.
Across California and other major U.S. metro areas, pro- and anti-war rallies have ramped up in recent days as the situation in Iran has escalated, with crowds calling for everything from de-escalation to regime change.
