New “Maker” Focused Kids’ Art Space Opens in San Ramon
SAN RAMON, CALIFORNIA – Does your kid love making things? Are you looking for a spot to throw them a birthday party–or a camp to occupy their time during the upcoming (long!) school breaks?
A new spot in San Ramon has recently opened to serve exactly those kinds of needs.
The business, called The Maker Atelier on social media has opened at Bishop Ranch’s City Center with booking already live for parties and seasonal camp sessions. It is next to but unaffiliated with the TheyMade store, which recently moved within City Center.
What exactly is it? Based on the company’s San Ramon and party pages, the concept centers on hands-on creative experiences where kids and families can customize things like hoodies, T-shirts, hats, pants, shoes, totes, and crossbody bags using patches, rhinestones, screen printing, and other embellishments.
The company is also marketing the San Ramon location for birthday parties, describing it as a guided maker studio with staff handling setup and cleanup.
The San Ramon location is already promoting multiple party packages, with listed pricing starting at $42 per maker for hat parties, $45 for shoe and pant parties, $48 for T-shirt parties, $59 for the “Tween Dreams” package, and $69 for hoodie parties. The company says San Ramon camp sessions are also on the calendar, with multiple summer sessions listed at $425 each.
An earlier opening post tied to the San Ramon location also promoted a spring art camp. In other words, this looks like a new addition aimed squarely at the City Center crowd: parents planning birthday parties, families wanting a weekend activity, and kids who would rather make something than just buy it.
