PLEASANT HILL, CALIFORNIA – Pleasant Hill is celebrating Earth Day this year with a chance for kids (and the young at heart) to get their hands dirty.
Downtown Pleasant Hill is hosting “Earth Day Color & Pot” on Sunday, April 19 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the plaza near Jack’s Restaurant & Bar.
According to the shopping center’s event listing, the free event will let kids color their own flowerpots and plant their own succulents, while supplies last. The promotional signage for the event also mentions face painting.

A simple Earth Day outing for families
Rather than a large festival, this looks like the kind of easy, low-key community event that works well for a weekend stop.
The event is being promoted as family-friendly and free, with the main activity centered on decorating flowerpots and potting succulents. That gives it a crafty, interactive Earth Day angle that feels especially geared toward younger kids.
