ALAMO, CALIFORNIA – A new restaurant called The Post is preparing to open in the longtime Forli Ristorante space in Alamo.
Signs announcing the forthcoming restaurant have appeared at 3160 Danville Boulevard in the Stone Valley Center, near CVS. Bay Area Telegraph reader Cindy S, who spotted the signs, said workers were still busy inside the restaurant after 8:30 p.m., suggesting that renovations are actively underway.
The Post describes itself as an American comfort food restaurant combining “sophistication with comfort.” Its website (which seems to be under construction) says the concept draws inspiration from an early-1900s post office and will offer classic American dishes made with high-quality ingredients.
“Whether it’s a casual meal or a special occasion, you will find a place here that feels like home,” the restaurant says on its website.
An Instagram account recently launched for The Post similarly describes the concept as “comfort food served with quality ingredients and service.” The account had only five posts as of early August, indicating that the restaurant is still in the early stages of introducing itself to the community.
Public business records connect the project to Alamo Restaurant & Bar Group LLC, an active California company established in September 2025. The company’s principal address is listed as 3160 Danville Boulevard, and its stated business activity is operating a restaurant.
Ali Reza Ghasemi is identified as the company’s CEO, while Danville-based Lala Hospitality Inc. is listed as its manager. Lala Hospitality is led by Ghasemi and Lauren Ghasemi, according to California corporate records.
The location was previously home to Forli Ristorante, a longstanding Alamo dining institution known for Italian cuisine, live entertainment and a popular neighborhood bar. Forli had operated in various forms for decades and underwent several ownership changes over the years before its recent closure.
The Post’s website currently includes a menu page, but its unusually low prices and generic selections appear to be unfinished template content rather than the restaurant’s actual menu. The site also lists a placeholder telephone number. For now, the most reliable information is that the finished concept will center on American comfort food.
The website says the restaurant eventually plans to operate daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., which would make it an option for both lunch and dinner. However, The Post has not publicly announced a firm opening date, final menu or reservation schedule.
Renovation activity and the newly installed “Coming Soon” signs suggest that work is moving forward. Bay Area Telegraph will provide an update when The Post announces its opening date and reveals its completed menu.
