An Uber-Popular Fitness Retailer Just Opened Its Doors at City Center Bishop Ranch

SAN RAMON, CALIFORNIA – The wait is over for lululemon fans in San Ramon.
The athletic apparel retailer is now open at City Center Bishop Ranch, occupying the prominent former Nike storefront at the open-air shopping and dining destination.
The new lululemon is located in Suite 1400 at 6000 Bollinger Canyon Road. The store covers approximately 5,448 square feet, giving it room for the brand’s performance clothing, footwear and accessories for activities ranging from yoga and running to training and everyday wear.
lululemon quietly opened the store in late July before celebrating its official arrival on Saturday, August 8. The grand-opening festivities included a morning run organized with the Unofficial Run Club.
The San Ramon location is technically a pop-up, although shoppers should not expect a fleeting weekend operation. City Center previously announced that lululemon had signed on for a full year.
The brand’s arrival gives Tri-Valley shoppers another option beyond its stores at Stoneridge Shopping Center in Pleasanton and the San Francisco Premium Outlets in Livermore. lululemon also operates a large store at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek.
It also fills one of City Center’s most visible vacancies.

Nike previously occupied the space, making lululemon a logical successor for a shopping center that has increasingly blended fashion, fitness and wellness. Athleta and Equinox are already among City Center’s tenants, alongside retailers including Madewell, Anthropologie, Sephora and Warby Parker.
lululemon began in Vancouver in 1998 and grew from its yoga-focused roots into one of the world’s most recognizable athletic and athleisure brands. The company now operates more than 850 stores across over 30 markets, according to the retailer.
Its opening is part of another wave of changes at City Center Bishop Ranch. Meyhouse, a contemporary Turkish restaurant and jazz club, recently opened, while Oakland-born Rico Rico Taco and international candy shop Lil Sweet Treat have also been announced for the center.
For San Ramon shoppers, however, lululemon is the big new arrival — both in brand recognition and physical size.
The City Center Bishop Ranch lululemon is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Individual store hours can change, so shoppers may want to confirm through the retailer before making a special trip.
