WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA – Cars and golf will share the spotlight at a free community event coming to Walnut Creek’s Boundary Oak Golf Course later this month.
Boundary Oak will host “Full Throttle Fairway” on Saturday, August 29, from 1 to 5 p.m. The afternoon will combine a car show with music, barbecue and golf-themed contests.
According to the event flyer, visitors can expect a live DJ, a car-themed putting contest and a closest-to-the-pin competition.
The event will take place at Boundary Oak Golf Course, located at 3800 Valley Vista Road in Walnut Creek.

Car Owners Can Register Their Vehicles
Local car owners are invited to display their vehicles during the show.
Anyone interested in reserving a space should email Boundary Oak representative Sebastian Fowler at sfowler@playboundaryoak.com.
The flyer does not indicate that the show is limited to a particular make, model or era. It also does not provide details about judging, awards or vehicle arrival times.
The event is free for spectators. The flyer does not specify whether the barbecue or golf contests will carry separate charges.
A Different Kind of Day at Boundary Oak

Boundary Oak has been part of Walnut Creek since 1969. The public facility includes an 18-hole championship golf course, driving range, putting and chipping areas, clubhouse and the Taphouse Bar & Grill.
Its location in the foothills below Mount Diablo also provides views across the Concord and San Ramon valleys.
Full Throttle Fairway continues Boundary Oak’s recent push to bring more community events to the property beyond traditional rounds of golf. Its summer programming has included outdoor music, food, games and family activities at the driving range.
This time, the combination of cars, music and golf competitions should give visitors something more unusual than a typical Saturday afternoon on the course.
