A Very Tasty Event is Coming Soon to San Ramon

SAN RAMON, CALIFORNIA — San Ramon residents will soon have 10 days to eat their way through City Center Bishop Ranch.

Taste of City Center, the shopping center’s annual restaurant week, returns Sept. 18-27 with special menus, discounted meals, free extras and food-and-drink pairings from 13 participating businesses.

Some of the most notable offers include:

  • Bamboo Sushi: A four-course menu for $60 per person, along with specialty food and cocktail options.
  • Delarosa: A three-course weekday lunch for $19.95, with choices including Caesar kale salad, mixed beet salad, penne primavera, penne portobello, pappardelle Napoletana and tiramisu.
  • Fieldwork Brewing: One pizza and two alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages for $35.
  • The Slanted Door: A half-order of crispy imperial rolls paired with a small bowl of the restaurant’s signature pho for $22. The special will be offered at lunch from Tuesday, Sept. 22, through Friday, Sept. 25.
  • Social Affair: Any pizza and two glasses of house wine or beer for $45.
  • ZENTRL Kitchen + Bar: A trio of carne asada, chicken and Baja fish tacos with a draft beer for $25, or vodka pasta, a small Caesar salad and a glass of house wine for $35.

There are plenty of smaller freebies and discounts, too.

Alora Social will include a complimentary dessert or selected cocktail with the purchase of two entrees.

Marugame Udon will offer a free tempura item or homemade drink with every bowl purchased, while ROAM Burgers will give customers free fries with an in-person purchase of at least $10.

Joe & The Juice will offer a free hot or iced matcha or coffee with any purchase. Salt & Straw customers can receive free chocolate sauce with any scoop or milkshake by mentioning the restaurant-week promotion.

MIXT will give new rewards members $5 off, and World Wrapps will take 15% off an order with the purchase of World Fries.

The promotion culminates with September Sips, a separate wine-tasting event scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 27, from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

The event will feature Livermore Valley wines and food from City Center restaurants at 12 tasting locations. Participating producers include McGrail Vineyards & Winery, Wood Family Vineyards, Rosa Fierro Cellars, The Steven Kent Winery, Garre Vineyards & Winery and several others.

September Sips tickets cost $30 and include a wristband, wine glass and tasting map. A portion of the proceeds will support the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Foundation and its local charitable partners.

Diners who spend at least $300 at participating Taste of City Center restaurants from Sept. 18-27 can receive a complimentary September Sips ticket while supplies last. Receipts must be presented at the City Center concierge desk and the ticket must be redeemed before the event.

Taste of City Center will take place at City Center Bishop Ranch, located at 6000 Bollinger Canyon Road in San Ramon. Individual offers may be restricted to certain days, hours or ordering methods so always make sure to check.
