LIVERMORE, CALIFORNIA – A new downtown Livermore cafe is bringing ice cream, coffee and boba together under one roof.
Dumont Creamery & Cafe celebrated its grand opening September 18 at 2375 Railroad Avenue, Suite 101. The shop occupies the former Teaspoon space and is the brand’s first East Bay location, according to Livermore Vine.
The opening gives downtown visitors another place to stop for a drink or dessert, with a menu that extends from scoops to milkshakes and slushies.
A welcome from the community
The celebration began with a September 17 ribbon cutting hosted by the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber staff, board members and ambassadors joined guests and family members to welcome the business. The chamber presented a certificate of congratulations to owner Ajay, while Livermore Mayor John Marchand presented a declaration of welcome. A certificate from Alameda County Assessor Phong La was also presented.
The public launch followed the next day.
Ice cream with international inspiration
The flavors are a central part of Dumont’s appeal. Indian Kheer and Italian Mint Basil Sorbet are among the opening selections, along with Biscoff and Hokey Pokey. There are also local pastries sourced from Livermore.
