Shake Shack Walnut Creek Will Open March 5th

It’s official: Shake Shack is coming to Walnut Creek, California, and they’re bringing a whole new level of flavor to the East Bay.

On March 5th, the iconic restaurant chain will open its second East Bay location at Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Locust St. in Downtown Walnut Creek – and they’re pulling out all the stops.

The Bay Area Telegraph visited while the restaurant was under construction, but today we confirmed the March 5th grand opening date.

The new Shack is one of the biggest Shake Shacks to date, offering two levels of seating and plenty of room for hungry customers. And the menu? It’s a flavor-lover’s paradise, especially for East Coast transplants who are used to enjoying Shake Shack on the other coast.

Of course, all the classics are there – ShackBurger®, crinkle-cut fries and hand-spun shakes – but the Walnut Creek Shack is also offering some cool limited-time offers from their White Truffle Menu, such as the White Truffle Burger and White Truffle Parmesan Fries.

Fancy truffle flavors is a perfect match for Walnut Creek, a pricey and upscale East Bay town.

Plus, you’ll find two brand-new limited-time shake flavors: Tiramisu and Dreamsicle.

For the Bay Area only, they’re rolling out the Golden State Double – a double cheddar cheeseburger topped with pickles and garlic aioli and featuring 100% California grass-fed beef from Oakland-based Cream Co. Meats.

It’s cool to see a national brand partnering with local farmers and organizations.

Opening Day Giveaways on March 5th

You won’t want to miss the opening day festivities, either. The first 100 guests will receive a limited-edition Shake Shack gift, and there’s a public ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 AM for anyone who wants to join in the fun.

Plus, Shake Shack is giving back. For every sandwich sold on opening day, the company will donate $1 to White Pony Express – an organization dedicated to eliminating hunger and poverty by delivering surplus food and goods to those in need.

If you’re looking for a job, the Walnut Creek Shack team is currently hiring for all levels. You can apply online at ShakeShack.com/Join-Our-Team.

So there you have it: Shake Shack will open in Downtown Walnut Creek on March 5th. Get ready for a flavor explosion – and don’t forget to bring your appetite!
