Celebrate! Philz Coffee is Now Available Again in California

Philz Coffee Recovers from Devastating Storms

Devastated coffee lovers in California rejoiced this month as Philz Coffee, a California favorite, announced that it had recovered from devastating storms and was once again selling ground bulk ground coffee at its stores.

In early 2023, an unusually wet, rainy season meant that torrential rain soaked much of California. Philz Coffee was seriously impacted by the rains. According to signs posted in several Philz locations, the chain was forced to stop selling its bulk coffee in stores due to storm damage at its Oakland roasting facility.

Thankfully for coffee lovers, Philz continued selling individual coffees at its stores–you could still go in and get your Iced Coffee Rose. However, those who wanted to buy ground coffee to make their own Philz coffee at home were out of luck.

Needless to say, this was a devastating loss for California’s coffee aficionados. Philz is one of the most popular coffee brands in the state, in addition to being a homegrown Bay Area company.

Philz Coffee Back in Stock

The great news is that Philzs’ weather-related challenges have finally abated, and the company is once again selling coffee at its cafés. The Bay Area Telegraph confirmed both the lack of Philz Coffee in May and the resumption of sales in June.

On a recent visit to the Philz location in Lafayette, California, we confirmed that multiple varieties of ground coffee are finally back in stock. Additionally, we enjoyed a ginger snap latte during our visit, just for good measure!

So that’s today’s good news for coffee lovers: Philz is back in full force, both in the cafés and in your home!
