Happening Now: Hail Falls in the East Bay

Hail briefly fell in the East Bay on Thursday during ongoing storms in the area. Temperatures were low today, mainly in the 40s, with heavy rainy. That created good conditions for hail to fall.

The Bay Area Telegraph observed an approximately 5 minute hailstorm in the Lafayette, California area. BB sized hail fell, often in large bursts.

The small hail is unlike to cause major damage. Still, it’s a rare sight to see in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Stay safe, dry, and inside!
