Review: Marugame Udon at City Center Bishop Ranch

Marugame is a fantastic udon place. It’s fancy, it’s bustling, and the soup is top notch.

Marugame makes their udon noodles right in front of you as you wait in line. It’s part performance, but also a way to ensure your food is as fresh as possible.

I love their Nikutama udon. Their curry udon is excellent, too. They have a tempura bar where you can grab your own tempura veggies and chicken while in line.

The author at Marugame

Marugame does a great job of preparing food to go, and they have an excellent app for ordering before you arrive.

The downside to their popularity is that it can be tricky to get a table, especially on weekends. The line can get long, too.

Your best bet is to order ahead, take your udon to the lawn, and have a picnic!
