Firefighters from the El Dorado County Fire Protection District worked quickly to contain a vegetation fire on Catecroft Lane in Cool, CA, yesterday morning.
The fire spread across 1.4 acres of dry grass, threatening both an outbuilding and a nearby home. Crews on the scene used hoses to douse the smoldering landscape, while smoke billowed from the charred ground, as seen in photos released by the El Dorado County Fire Protection District.
Firefighters, dressed in full protective gear, worked in teams to control the spread and ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
A fire truck can be seen positioned near the burned area, with personnel carefully monitoring the perimeter to prevent any flare-ups.
Additional images show crews walking through the blackened field, ensuring that no hotspots remained. Thanks to their efforts, no structures were damaged. CAL FIRE’s Amador-El Dorado Unit is leading the investigation into the cause of the fire.
