A Classic Blackhawk Restaurant Has Sadly Closed

A longtime restaurant at Danville, California’s Blackhawk shopping center has officially closed its doors.

Blackhawk is one of the coolest and most unique shopping centers in the East Bay. It has upscale stores and great restaurants like Blue Sakana, but the highlight is a giant duck pond in the middle.

You can grab a bite to eat, stop by one of the stores to purchase some duck-safe food, and then feed the ducks with your kids.

Sadly, a popular and longtime restaurant at the Blackhawk shopping center has officially closed. The Grille at Blackhawk is shutting down.

The Grille offered traditional American food in a setting with a view of the duck pond. It was a popular destination for people seeking classic and casual eats.

We’re not sure exactly why the restaurant closed, but there have been a variety of closures in the Blackhawk and Danville area recently.

That said, there are plenty of new and exciting things happening in Danville, too! New restaurants, like Hazy Barbecue closer to downtown, have proven extremely popular, and Moraga’s iconic Canyon Club is about to open a new restaurant in the area.

We hope something will come in soon to replace The Grille at Blackhawk.
