Attendees take issue with Musk allegedly “taking a chainsaw to critical government services that will take years to repair and restore.”

The protest is notable for attracting an older crowd compared to some other social causes in the Bay Area.

Many carried signs on Saturday with messages reading “Musk killed cancer research,” “Chaos is not efficiency,” “Deport Elon,” and “Musk equals scum.”

We have observed many people in the Bay Area placing stickers on their Teslas indicating that they do not support Musk’s politics.

On the other hand, we have also spoken to local conservatives who are embracing the brand because of Musk’s political activism.
