Ribbon Cutting For New Lafayette BART Fare Gates on Wednesday March 19

Lafayette, CA – There’s nothing that screams “We live in a small town” quite like a good old fashioned ribbon cutting!

The Lafayette Chamber is celebrating the installation of brand-new fare gates at the Lafayette BART Station with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 4:00 PM. The ribbon cutting will take place at 4:15 PM sharp.

The new fare gates are part of BART’s ongoing efforts to enhance security, reduce fare evasion, and improve the rider experience. Local officials and BART representatives are expected to attend the event.

Community members are invited to join the celebration at Lafayette BART Station.
