DUBLIN, CALIFORNIA – Tri-Valley diners no longer have to trek to Vegas for a lavish seafood spread: the brand-new East Bay Buffet has quietly swung open its doors at 7400 San Ramon Road, inside the fully renovated building that once housed McNamara’s Steak & Seafood. Early visitors say the makeover is dramatic—and so is the food.
A Bay Area Telegraph reader, Cory C, write in to say “There’s a fabulous new buffet that opened in Dublin.” He told us that “It’s amazing. All you can eat. Beverages and dessert included” and shared the photos you see here.
Others have praised the “vast array of items” on offer, from loads of sushi and sashimi to hot pot, dim sum, and even a chocolate fountain! Some griped that items weren’t refilled quickly enough, especially for the higher-end sushi items.
Here’s more about East Bay Buffet.
A Vegas-Style Spread, Minus the Plane Ticket

Visitors report an ice bar piled with briny half-shell oysters, sweet poached shrimp, Cajun-spiced crawfish, snow-crab legs and even chilled whelks—items that usually fetch a premium at à-la-carte raw bars.
What It Costs

Prices are fairly straightforward and seem low for a big buffet, probably to entice in early visitors: lunch is around $30; and dinner is around $44, with some reporting slightly higher prices on weekends.
When to Go

The restaurant is open 11 a.m.–3 p.m. for lunch and 4–9:30 p.m. for dinner Monday–Thursday, staying open to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays (11 a.m.–10 p.m.) and until 9:30 p.m. on Sundays.
Reservations aren’t required, but weekend prime-time seats have filled quickly since opening day, so arrive early—or brace for a short wait.
The Bottom Line
With Vegas-level variety, a still-introductory price point and early online praise, East Bay Buffet looks poised to become Dublin’s newest dining destination (at least for those who love a good buffet).
We haven’t tried it yet, but we’ll need to stop by to do a full review. Thanks for the tip, Cory!
