Police: No Ongoing Threat, Person of Interest Interviewed
Investigators emphasized that Thursday night’s incident appears to be isolated, and there is no indication of any ongoing threat to the community.
Police said they are not searching for any outstanding suspect at this time. In fact, other family members were reportedly present in the house during the incident – a man and two young children – and officers have been interviewing the adult male as a potential person of interest in the case, KTVU reports. As of Friday morning, no arrests had been announced, and officials have not labeled the man a suspect while the investigation remains active.

Moorhouse told KTVU that detectives conducted a thorough search of the home and surrounding neighborhood overnight and found nothing to suggest any further danger to the public. Police have also not confirmed whether the two women lived at the home where they were found, as that detail remains under investigation. The Contra Costa County coroner’s office is expected to determine the official cause of death and will release the victims’ identities once next of kin are notified.
