Ghouls in a Glass as Our Favorite Monterey Hotel Rolls Out “Haunted” Cocktail Menu
MONTEREY, CALIFORNIA -Salt Wood Kitchen & Oysterette at The Sanctuary Beach Resort is rolling out a limited-time “Killer Cocktails” menu for October, pairing ocean views and firepits with drinks inspired by Monterey County ghost stories.

The seasonal lineup includes:
- Lady in Lace (gin-based): Hendrick’s, crème de violette, Luxardo, dry vermouth, fresh lemon, and a spritz of absinthe.
- The Lighthouse (rum-infused): Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Mount Gay Rum, butter pecan–maple syrup, Disaronno whipped cream, finished with cinnamon.
- The Well (tequila-based): Patrón Reposado, Licor 43, La Colombe espresso, and pumpkin spice syrup.

Also on the haunted list: The Doctor (mezcal, Abasolo Nixta Licor de Elote, Cointreau, lemon, activated charcoal, Tajín rim) and The French Hotel (Empress Indigo Gin, spiced pear liqueur, pear purée, lemon, Chandon Brut). Each cocktail is $18 and available through October 2025.

Each drink nods to local lore, including the Ghost Tree along Pebble Beach’s 17-Mile Drive and reports of ghostly sailors at Point Sur Lighthouse. The menu is available all month, offering guests a themed option for fall visits and Halloween outings.
