WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA – Walnut Creek just scored a bold new pizzeria with a sense of humor — and a menu to match.
Extreme Pizza has opened at 1514 Geary Rd, Suite D, bringing its adventurous pies and late-night friendly hours to the Sprouts-anchored center off Geary on the Pleasant Hill border. The shop marked its official ribbon cutting on Friday, October 3, 2025.
The vibe and the basics
This is a fast-casual spot built for quick lunches, family pizza nights, and big-game takeout. Hours are Monday–Saturday 10:30 am–10 pm and Sunday 10:30 am–9:30 pm. The Walnut Creek location is independently owned and operated, like other stores in the chain.
What’s on the menu
Extreme leans into playful, globally inspired combinations alongside the classics. A few head-turners:
- Ghost Wave — Italian sausage, green peppers, mascarpone, mozzarella, ghost pepper cheese, and honey.

There are plenty of straight-ahead options too — from the all-meat Everest to a fully loaded Yard Sale. Sizes run up to a Huge 18-inch for group feasts.

Vegans and gluten-free diners aren’t stuck with a plain cheese here. You’ll find vegan cheese, a vegan wheat crust, and a vegan GF crust (in certain sizes), plus a dedicated list of vegan signature pies. Cauliflower crust is available on 12-inch pizzas at market price.

The Walnut Creek Chamber helped celebrate the opening on October 3 at 11:30 am, with the store promoting the event across local listings and social channels. The store had been in a soft open since September before the event made it official.
