The First Fridays event is a way to get locals in to Martinez’s downtown core. Shops and businesses stay open later, live music and street performers ply their trade, and there are special activities specifically for families and kids.

There are also artists and makers selling their creations. The holidays are coming up, and this is the perfect chance to grab something unique for your gift shopping list without resorting to Etsy, and to thus support a local artist in the process.

First Fridays run from 6-9pm in downtown Martinez, primarily along the historic Main Street. Friday’s weather is looking clear if a bit chilly! Pack a jacket and come out to support local artisans and performers.
