LAFAYETTE, CALIFORNIA – Something new is coming to Lafayette, and it’s kind of old–in the best possible way!
A new monthly vintage market is launching in downtown Lafayette, bringing antiques, collectibles, and live music to the heart of the city.
The Contra Costa Vintage Market is scheduled to debut on Sunday, April 12, 2026, and organizers say it will become a regular event held on the second Sunday of each month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The market will take place across the parking lots of Zahra Boutique and BMO Bank at 3583 Mt. Diablo Blvd., right in the downtown shopping district and within walking distance of Lafayette BART.

The event is being organized by Vintage Vida, a Lafayette vintage shop that specializes in curated retro decor, clothing, vinyl records, and collectibles spanning decades.
We reviewed them last year, and I got an R.E.M. tape that has been sounding great in a vintage Radioshack boombox from the 1990s. My son got century-old marbles.
According to event listings, the market will bring together a curated lineup of vintage vendors from across the Bay Area.

Shoppers can expect a wide range of items, including:
- Vintage clothing
- Mid-century furniture
- Antique collectibles
- Retro home decor
- Vinyl records and classic media
The goal, organizers say, is to create a lively community gathering where visitors can browse unique items while enjoying downtown Lafayette’s restaurants, cafés, and shops.
This will go beyond “big flea market” vibes, though. There will also be live music from local performers.

Instead of food trucks, “we are encouraging attendees to buy from the existing brick and mortar businesses surrounding the market,” the organizers told the Bay Area Telegraph in an email.
Admission will be free, and organizers say street and BART parking nearby will also be free. The event site is about a five-minute walk from the Lafayette BART station, making it easy to reach without a car.
The first market launches April 12, and if all goes as planned, locals can expect a new monthly tradition in downtown Lafayette.
