Walnut Creek is getting another wellness-focused destination — this one built around heat, cold, and a different, more private approach to the traditional sauna.
Perspire Sauna Studio is preparing to open at The Orchards shopping center, at 2355 Oak Grove Road in North Walnut Creek. The company has not announced an opening date yet, but it is already promoting founding memberships and a VIP opening-week experience.
Despite the “sauna spa” description, this will not be a traditional communal sauna setup. Perspire’s model centers on individual infrared sauna suites, each equipped with red-light therapy and entertainment controls for a more private 40-minute session. So you don’t need to sit around with other people, like in traditional saunas.
The Walnut Creek studio is also slated to offer contrast therapy through the brand’s SNØ Shower — a cold rainfall-style shower designed to follow the heat session — along with halotherapy, or dry salt-air therapy.
The new location is a natural fit for The Orchards, which already has Crunch Fitness, Elements Massage, IVX Health, The Joint Chiropractic, Radiant Waxing, and other health and personal-care tenants.
Perspire currently lists three founding membership tiers for the North Walnut Creek studio: four sessions per month for $129, eight sessions for $159, or unlimited sessions for $199. Those rates are advertised as founding-member pricing and may change after the studio opens.
The brand, founded in 2010, has expanded rapidly in recent years and announced its 100th studio opening this spring. The North Walnut Creek studio is independently owned by Mona Tawakali, according to the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce directory.
