Popular Menswear Brand Has Moved Inside Walnut Creek’s Broadway Plaza — But Only Temporarily

If you’re looking for State & Liberty at Walnut Creek’s Broadway Plaza, you may need to take a different route through the shopping center.

The menswear retailer has temporarily relocated to the former SoulCycle space near the parking garage, according to an October 9 report from Beyond the Creek. The publication describes the move as a temporary relocation for renovation.

That means shoppers can still find the brand within Broadway Plaza, just in a different spot.

A Temporary Home in a Former Fitness Studio

The former SoulCycle location gives shoppers a useful landmark for finding the temporary store.

State & Liberty has been part of Broadway Plaza’s retail lineup for several years. The October relocation report does not provide a date for the store’s return or details about the renovation.

State & Liberty specializes in menswear that combines a tailored appearance with stretchy performance fabrics.

On its Walnut Creek store page, the company describes a collection that includes suits, shirts and pants, with fabrics it markets as lightweight, moisture-wicking and wrinkle-free.

The brand says it started with a goal of creating better-fitting, more comfortable dress shirts. Its wider lineup now includes blazers, chinos, polos and other wardrobe staples.

For shoppers who want to try the fit before buying, the Walnut Creek store advertises walk-in visits and appointments with sizing specialists. It also lists tailoring and wedding-party services.

Check Before You Go

With the store operating from a temporary location, a quick call is a good idea before making a special trip.

Broadway Plaza’s directory lists State & Liberty’s local phone number as (925) 435-0022.

For now, the landmark to look for is the former SoulCycle space near the parking garage, as identified in Beyond the Creek’s relocation report.
