Savers Walnut Creek Will Open February 9th

Update 2/9/2023: Savers Walnut Creek is now open! Check out our coverage from opening day.

Here at the Bay Area Telegraph, we’ve been eagerly awaiting the opening of the new Savers Thrift store in Walnut Creek.

The new store is located near Rossmor in the Tice Valley neighborhood of Walnut Creek. We’ve covered its initial construction as well as the recent opening of the store’s Donation Center.

We had projected that the Savers would open in the first quarter of 2023, based on the rate at which construction was proceeding, the way the store was advertising for donations, and our own knowledge of the area.

It turns out we were right on the money! On a January 2023 visit to the new Savers location, a store employee confirmed to the Bay Area Telegraph that the Walnut Creek Savers is slated to open on February 9th.

Of course, dates are never firm until they actually happen, so it’s always possible something could change. But at the moment, February 9th seems to be the date for the store’s grand opening.

If you’re excited to shop there, stop by before the opening date and make a donation of an unneeded item. You’ll get a coupon for 20% off a future purchase of up to $100.

We’ll continue to monitor the store’s plans as the opening date approaches, and will certainly stop by to keep you in the know once the doors are open.
