DANVILLE, CA – Long-time friends and first-time franchisees Linh Jee and Sophia Cheng are opening a brand new restaurant in Danville with a fascinating concept.
Both Bay Area natives, Jee and Cheng met while studying fashion merchandising at San Francisco State University. Over the years, they pursued separate careers—Jee in product development in New York and Cheng in merchandising and later indoor playgrounds in the Bay Area.
The two reconnected in 2015 and eventually decided to team up, leading to their signing of a three-unit deal to bring a very tasty-sounding East Coast restaurant to the Bay Area: Toastique.
Thanks to the pair, Toastique, a gourmet toast and juice café, will soon open its first Northern California location in downtown Danville. Scheduled to launch in late fall 2024, the café will be located at 350 Railroad Ave, Suite 100.
Known for its artistic toast creations, cold-pressed juices, and smoothie bowls, Toastique aims to bring its fresh, health-conscious menu to the local community.
“During COVID, Linh and I would go on weekly hikes and brainstorm business ideas,” Cheng explained. “Through social media and in searching for franchise opportunities, I found Toastique and loved the simple menu and the elevated presentation of every dish.”
The new 1,600-square-foot café will offer indoor and outdoor seating, providing a cozy spot for residents and tourists. It is centrally located across from popular spots like Iron Horse Plaza and Lunardi’s Markets, making it an easily accessible option for a light meal or snack.
Toastique’s menu will feature a variety of gourmet toasts, such as the Avocado Smash Toast and Tomato Burrata Toast, alongside smoothie bowls like the DragonBerry Bowl.
