Walnut Creek’s New Location of the Hangout Restaurant is Drawing Rave Reviews

WALNUT CREEK, CA — The Hangout, a breakfast and brunch spot located on Tice Valley Boulevard in the Rossmoor Shopping Center, has quickly become a popular dining destination for locals. Since opening in Walnut Creek, the restaurant has been drawing crowds and rave reviews for its food, service, and lively atmosphere.

Mitch L., a resident of nearby Saranap, shared on social media, “Another amazing breakfast at The Hangout… Incredible service and food. Great to see the restaurant full.” The post included photos of the bustling dining room and a selection of dishes, including eggs Benedict, French toast, and sandwiches.

Many Rossmoor area residents have echoed similar sentiments. Sue C., a regular customer, commented, “I love the Hangout omelette,” while Paul L. noted, “Food and service there is great. Wish they would open for dinner again.” However, the restaurant is currently open for breakfast and lunch only, which has prompted some patrons to hope for expanded hours in the future.

Though overall feedback has been positive, some have mentioned drawbacks. Amy B., another local, shared that the restaurant’s popularity can make it “noisy” and “crowded,” while others, like Michael K., felt the prices were “very pricy” compared to other breakfast spots. Still, many customers, including Hetta M., described the prices as “average” for the area and praised the “wonderful” food.

The Hangout, which was formerly located only in Pleasant Hill, has successfully brought its community-focused vibe to Walnut Creek. Its flexible seating arrangement, designed to accommodate large groups, was highlighted by Mitch L., who explained, “The tables move so they can accommodate large parties.”

Despite differing opinions on pricing and atmosphere, The Hangout remains a favorite spot for many, with some patrons already considering it a staple of the Walnut Creek dining scene.
