This Pleasant Hill Party Store Has Officially Closed

It’s the end of an era here in Pleasant Hill, California. That great stalwart of the 1990s kids’ birthday party scene, Party City, had declared bankruptcy last year.

Still, the Pleasant Hill location soldiered on for a while as its parent company wound down. As of late last year, you could still stop by the local location and get balloons, as well as discounted items on final closeup.

Alas, the store is no more. The Bay Area Telegraph stopped by today to grab some balloons, and discovered that the store is officially closed.

No more balloons, Paw Patrol table clothes, or little plastic items for your pinata anymore!

Where to Find Balloons in the 925

So where can you get balloons these days?

Smelling an opportunity, the nearby Michaels is now offering both mylar and latex balloons. We stopped by and confirmed that they have a small selection, as well as themed balloons for holidays.

Have a tip on a great independent party store in the 925 to replace Party City? Let us know in the comments or email tom@bayareatelegraph.com
