Opa! restaurant in downtown Walnut Creek has officially closed. It appears the restaurant closed over a month ago, but initially, the closure was listed as temporary.

It’s also encouraging to see a new generation of restaurants taking over classic spots in other cities. Amarin Thai in Lafayette temporarily closed, which freaked out many locals.
The good news is that the popular and long-serving restaurant quickly reopened under new management with a beautiful new interior.
We’re sad to see Opa! go, but we’re excited about the future of Walnut Creek’s restaurant scene.
