Moraga’s Free Summer Concerts Are Back—Here Are the Dates and Bands

Moraga, CA – Get ready to rock, Lamorinda! An iconic Moraga Summer event is back, and it’s looking better than ever.

The Moraga Summer Concert Series will return for its 41st year with ten free Thursday night concerts scheduled from June 12 through August 14, 2025, at the Moraga Commons Park Band Shell.

Funded entirely by public donations and support from local businesses and community service groups—including The Bruzzone Family, Republic Services, Jill Balazs Real Estate, Kiwanis of Moraga Valley, and 5A Rent-A-Space—the concert series offers a diverse lineup of music, all free to the public.

I’ve attended these in the past, and they’re super fun–very relaxed, with people picnicking, kids playing in the playgrounds, neighbors saying hi, and more.

I like that Moraga clearly shells out for good audio–the setup and equipment are very professional and the bands sound great.

Speaking of bands, here they are:

2025 Concert Lineup:

  • June 12: Paper Kayak – Reggae, Island World Music
  • June 19: Traveling Wilburys Revue – Tribute to E.L.O., Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Bob Dylan
  • June 26: Aja Vu – Steely Dan, Chicago Tribute
  • July 4 (7:00 PM start): The Houserockers – Rock & Soul
  • July 10: Bell Brothers – Country Rock
  • July 17: Citizen Flannel – 90’s Tribute
  • July 24: Moonalice – 60’s Psychedelic Rock
  • July 31: Dirty Cello – Blues, Americana, Rock
  • August 7: Big Blu Soul Revue – Soul & Funk
  • August 14: Fleetwood Macramé – Fleetwood Mac Tribute

Here’s a little look at Fleetwood Macrame, one of the top bands on the lineup:

All concerts run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., except the July 4 show, which starts at 7:00 p.m.

Food and Beverage Info: Food vendors for the series will be announced soon. However, Loard’s Ice Cream will return, and the Moraga Lions and Moraga Kiwanis clubs will again serve beer and wine from the bandshell.

Last year they had the Forge pizza and a couple others. Honestly the food is more varied at Orinda’s concerts, but still there should be at least a few solid options. Plus, beer and wine outdoors!

Parking at Moraga Commons Park is limited. Overflow parking is available on the west side of Moraga Road between St. Mary’s Road and the Moraga Center Shopping Center. Illegally parked vehicles will be cited. Arrive early!
