Beloved Local Grocery in Pleasant Hill Reopens With New Owners Following Major Renovation

Pleasant Hill, California – A beloved local market in Pleasant Hill, California, is finally back!

Locals freaked out a bit when they saw a “For Lease” sign on top of Pleasant Hill Market, a local grocery store that has served the community for decades.

It turns out they didn’t need to worry about a closure. Although Pleasant Hill Market shut down for renovations, the local store was purchased by new owners and was just transitioning into new management.

We weren’t able to find much about who bought the store. There were rumors that it was the original owners who had opened it, but others have told us that’s not true.

Either way, Pleasant Hill Market was closed for weeks during the renovations. The store had initially planned to reopen on July 2, but a permitting issue delayed that by about a week.

The great news is that Pleasant Hill Market is now open again in a “soft launch.” The market’s Instagram page posted that “we’re officially open… softly.” The new owners invite locals to “come by, explore, and get a first taste of what we’ve been working on.” The store is open from 8:30 AM to 8 PM.

That post went out on July 15, so it’s likely the Pleasant Hill Market is either just finishing up its soft launch or is now fully open.

We’ll make sure to stop by and check out the new place and any changes the new owners have made. It’s great to see that Pleasant Hill Market has reopened more or less on schedule, and I’m sure locals are extremely happy that it was able to stick around.
