SAN RAMON, CALIFORNIA – When you hear that a brand new restaurant was full of police officers, you might think something bad had happened.
In the case of a brand new burger place opening soon in San Ramon, though, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Super Duper Burger is coming soon to San Ramon, and just had its soft opening. A member of the BAT family noticed the restaurant initially and let us know about it.
But San Ramon’s finest were already in the know.

In a Facebook post, the San Ramon Police Department said some of its officers and professional staff stopped by Super Duper Burgers during the restaurant’s soft opening last week and came away impressed. “We’re already big fans,” the department wrote, thanking the new restaurant for the warm welcome.
The cheerful visit came before Super Duper Burgers prepared to officially open its new San Ramon outpost today on Tuesday, March 31.

The new restaurant is located at 146 Sunset Drive, Unit A-3, in the Shops at Bishop Ranch, just off Bollinger Canyon Road and across from City Center Bishop Ranch. Company officials said the first 50 customers on opening day would receive a free burger, and regular hours are set for 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The opening is notable for more than just the police cameo. It is Super Duper’s first Tri-Valley location, bringing the San Francisco-born chain into one of the East Bay’s busiest retail corridors.
The company says the menu includes its signature burgers made from freshly ground beef, plus free-range chicken sandwiches, an organic veggie burger, fries, garlic fries, and shakes made with Straus Creamery products.
